ABOUT US: OUR STORY

Autentica Taqueria is a dream come true — a story of faith, gratitude, and flavor that began with the unexpected encounter of two strong, visionary women.

It all started when Alejandra Orrego, a Colombian mother of five, opened a small Peruvian restaurant. Faced with the challenges of keeping it running, she decided to sell. That’s when fate led her to Alejandra Sandoval, a passionate entrepreneur from Nicaragua with deep love for Mexican culture and a dream to build a family-owned business alongside her husband, Chef José Sandoval from Jalisco, Mexico.

What began as a business deal turned into a genuine friendship, and eventually into a powerful partnership built on shared values: family, faith, hard work, and a deep love for authentic food.

Together, they gave life to Autentica Taqueria, an artisanal taqueria in Kendall that brings a piece of Mexico to the heart of Miami. From our handmade tortillas to traditional dishes like birria, cochinita pibil, tacos al pastor, pozole, and aguas frescas — every recipe is made with love, respect for tradition, and a passion for flavor.

Today, with hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate how far we’ve come:

  • A place where cultures are united through flavor.

  • A woman-led, Hispanic-owned, family-run restaurant.

  • A business that keeps growing thanks to God, our loyal

customers, and the daily effort of our incredible team.

At Autentica Taqueria, every guest becomes part of our story. Every plate served is our way of saying:
Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for letting us bring a little taste of Mexico to your table.
